Water Ski Tubes

Water ski tubes are the preferred game for all novices starting on water sports. This fun ride is the best place for getting a feel of riding the waters at high speed. This can be seen as a basic fun ride which will almost always propel a fun ride seeker to other higher skilled water rides as well.

These air inflated tubes are a common sight in every beach. You find a wide variety of them in the stores these days as different shapes create different magic while in water. These tubes replace the traditional skis and wake boards behind a boat and are towed at high speeds as the boats race across the waters.

No special skills or lessons are needed before you venture out on a water ski tube. These water ski tubes are designed in different sizes and shapes to accommodate different riding style options. Unlike other water rides, this adventurous sport can seat as many as 8 people at a time. The difference in sizes of the tubes offers you the flexibility of braving it alone or going with company. The larger rafts provide sufficient number of handles for grabbing on but ensure that the number of people should not exceed half the number of handles available. Alternatively you also have the option of going together in different single water ski tubes attached to a common tow boat but it is safer to reduce the number of such rafts to 3 in a single instance.

Though it seems more enclosed and secure than water skis and wake boards, there are equally good chances of getting dunked while on these ski tubes. Holding on to the precious handles is the only way to ensure you remain in the raft till the end of the ride.

For the more adventurous riders, the water tubes can be made to jump on wakes as well. The tubes also are known to get airborne when traveling at high speed which provides additional thrill. Among the tricks, a barrel roll is a basic trick to try out. As the name suggests you flip your ski tube over, doing a complete turn in the water and coming back on the surface as you complete the roll. There are many other tricks that will take some time and practice to master. A word of advice to all beginners - Do not get carried away by the thrill of the moment and ensure that you observe basic safety precautions.
